New comic avatar, and upcoming is gonna be a new website layout since I'm never not happy with the current one.

Oh and, I am in the middle of backediting the pages because I decided to go ahead and change the character designs to some degree, but, not much major.

When the kid puts it like that, I feel for him. The whole point of him doing all this dirty work is to do better for his loved ones and they throw it away. I understand them wanting to have nice things, but really, you have to stop and think of how you define "nice things".

Yeah. Sometimes people just don't understand the effect actions they think are mild have. Sometimes people are in denial too.

Maybe he hasn't really had a good scare getting an insulin shock yet. The dad I mean.

The absolutely insane thing to me to learn about diabetes in Russia (in the 90s, no idea about today) was you only check your blood sugar maybe twice a week at the doctors office as a standard procedure. They had a lot of shortages of supply like test strips but you'd think you'd want to sync up what you happened to have with how you ate instead of scheduling some visit.

Lovely artwork! This is a pretty heartwrenching tale so far, but I'm curious to see were it ends up. :)

I agree with the previous posts, and I can see both sides of the argument, but ultimately I would probably have to side with Aleks. He may not be presenting his argument in the best light, but his reasoning is sound. He doesn't want to lose his dad, but the pressure he's under is mentally, emotionally and physically exhausting. The family is in a tough situation, but yelling aside, at least they are supporting each other. If the stress doesn't kill them all, at least they'll still be together.
